WELCOME TO FAITH!
We are glad to have you worship with us today! May the Holy Spirit speak to your heart and mind as the Gospel is proclaimed. We welcome you to Sonoma Valley if you are new here. Please sign the visitor card located in the hymnal rack and place it in the offering plate. Please introduce yourself to Pastor Tom and be sure to join us for coffee fellowship across the courtyard in Goehring Hall immediately following this morning’s service. You are most welcome here; please come again!
DO YOU HAVE A PRAYER REQUEST? We would love to include your prayer requests in the prayers of the people at this service. Please phone in your special requests any time during the week (996-7365) or come to the vestry (the room to the left of the altar area) and give your requests to Pastor Tom personally before the service.
PLEASE REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS Dave Amundsen, Brad Dreyer, Ruby Ehrlich, Judy Geistlinger, Basil Haddad, Maxine Hoaglund, Dee Krauss, Muriel Masztal, and Marie Rice.
AN INFORMED FAITH IS A GROWING AND VIBRANT FAITH Many opportunities for an informed and growing faith are available here in our parish congregation. Three of these opportunities include:
Our Sunday morning Bible Class community Is currently studying the prophesies of the Bible which have been fulfilled in the person, work, and ministry of Jesus. Come and share in this enlightening study on Sundays at 8:30am in Goehring Hall with Pastor Tom.
Our Tuesday afternoon Bible study, led by Pastor John, gathers in the conference room at 1:30pm every Tuesday for one hour. Currently we are reading through the apostle Paul’s letter to the Philippians – his wonderful Epistle of Joy.
Our Thursday evening Bible Class community meets in Goehring Hall on Thursdays at 6:30pm with Pastor Tom for our ongoing study of the amazing Gospel of John.
Take these opportunities to grow in your knowledge, in your faith, and in love for God and His Holy Word.
WEDNESDAYS IN LENT Join us this coming Wednesday, March 3rd at 6:00pm in Goehring Hall for our weekly Lenten Soup Supper.
This week’s Lenten Wednesday service in the church at 7:00pm carries the theme “Our Providing God”
(Jonah 1:17).
Come, walk the Lenten journey with us. Enjoy the fellowship and the inspiring worship which forms our weekly midweek experience during the forty days of Holy Lent.
CARING FOR OUR COMMON LIFE. . .
. . . that’s the theme for a special workshop retreat for the leaders and people of our congregation to be held in Goehring Hall this coming Saturday, March 6th from 9am-12pm. Morning refreshments will be served. This retreat is for all leaders of the church: Church Council, Board of Elders, Heads of Boards and Committees and for everyone in the congregation who would like to attend.
It’s been over a year and a half since our last goal setting retreat, and it’s time for a thoughtful and prayerful analysis of where we’ve been and where we’re going as God’s family here in this place. Like last time, it will be an enjoyable experience in Christian fellowship. We commend it to you.
TUESDAY AFTERNOON BIBLE STUDY TIME CHANGE Our group, led by John Marozik, will now meet at 1:30pm each Tuesday in the conference room.
