In Appreciation!
PAINTING IN FAMILY LIFE CENTER - We are so very grateful to Randy Miller for his expertise in painting the Sunday School Room in our Family Life Center. With some assistance from Janice and Herb Meneken, the job has been completed and the room looks beautiful. Many hours of work have gone into refurbishing our buildings and we appreciate the extra time and attention given by our volunteers. (2/09)
DON & LUCY MUSICK - Both are literally available 24/7 to attend to any needs we have, be it on the grounds, in the office, decorating for all events, Don & Lucy are there. Words cannot express our gratitude for their neverending contributions. (2/09)
OUTDOOR WATERING - Thanks to Vagn Nielsen for setting up our watering systems up for spring. We appreciate his contributions in saving us valuable time and money by putting these automatic systems in order! (3/09)
INTERIOR CHURCH LIGHTING - We are most appreciative of Al Martinson and Scott Bamford's conttribution of time and expertise in updating interior lighting in the church. We now have track lighting along both sides of the sanctuary, as well as in the choir area and in the Narthex. As time goes on, more evening services and activies are offered here at Faith and we are thankful for the enhanced lighting! (4/09)
GROUNDS LANDSCAPING - A very special "Thank You!" to Vagn Nielsen for purchasing and coordinating planting the lovely foliage surrounding the fountain area. Also to Nancy and Herb Heil who assisted in the planting and maintain our most charming garden area. To Paul Chapman who keeps a watchful eye out for the daily upkeep and maintenance of our grounds. He's always just a call away and so willing to help in whatever way needed. We sincerely appreciate the many hours of hard work, not just by these individuals listed, but also to those who just drop by and do a bit of weeding, sweeping, or whatever they see needs to be done. (4/09)
PICTORIAL DIRECTORY UPDATE - Over the past several months, Dick McComb and Nancy Heil have diligently updated our member pictorial directory. We are very fortunate and thankful that they have contributed their time and talents needed to complete this project. (4/09)
OUR PERSONAL FLORIST - To Ilse Eichler who beautifies our church for all occasions. Ilse fashioned the crown of thorns which her son attached to the chancel cross for the 2009 Lenten season; the crown remains in place throughout the season of Easter. Ilse also created the most beautified floral arrangements which were enjoyed by all who attended Easter services. Thank you, Ilse, for sharing your most unique talents! (4/09)
CARPET CLEANING - Prior to our Easter festivities, Walsh's Chem Dry cleaned and sanitized our carpets without requesting compensation. We are very fortunate their company furnishes us with this most important service. (4/09)
WAINSCOTING IN GH - An on-going problem in Goehring Hall has been the damage due to leaning extra chairs against the walls. Now, thanks to Tim Hingtgen who installed wainscoting around a portion of the Hall and Scott Bamford's painting touch, we have solved the problem. Thanks guys! (6/09)
CHURCH STEEPLE REPAIR Our sincere appreciation and gratitude go to Bob Anderson, owner of Anderson's Tree Service and his son JP who removed the cross from atop the church steeple. To Randy Miller for the steeple restoration and painting, and for building a new cross. We are so very grateful to Randy for the sharing of his many talents! (7/09)
SCOTT BAMFORD - Always around to lend a hand in whatever needs to be done, whether it is maintaining the grounds. helping Valerie with office equipment, painting, cleaning, weeding, just about everything. Scott is truly a blessing to all of us. We are extremely grateful to you, always!
PARAMENT ALTERNATIONS - Lucy Musick spent numerous hours of research in order to find and then purchase appropriate materials to add to length/width to Altar Paraments for our new Altar. Not only did she volunteer those many hours of research out of her personal time, she also spent countless hours of sewing the new material to the old--not an easy task since each of the previous parament measurements varied by 1/3 to 1/4 inch here and there. To those who are unfamiliar with seamstress work, these numbers may seem like nothing. However, to one that's acquainted to making adjustments to a completed garment--it's a difficult task. We thank Lucy for all her talents--and for the giving of her time! (10/09)
